Sarasota is in the center of some of the best fishing in the world. From offshore sport fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, to the bays, flats and Intracoastal waterway, there are plenty of fishing charters to take you there. It is not uncommon in the waters of Sarasota to witness bottlenose dolphins, manatees, pelicans, and a variety of interesting fish species.
Tamiami Trail (US-41) was officially designated as a Florida Scenic and Heritage Highway by the State of Florida. The designation incorporates a corridor of (69.7 miles) from the north Manatee to the south Sarasota County lines. There are many areas of archaeological importance along the Trail as well as natural wonders, historical & architectural sites which represent our area's rich culture & heritage.
Sarasota has some of the finest sparkling white sand beaches in the world and awesome, colorful sunsets over the water. The clean air and sunny climate have made it world famous as a center snowbirds.
