Ocala, population 55,000+, is centrally located in the very Heart of Florida. There is easy access and almost equal distance to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Ocala has nearly perfect weather all year long. Snowbirds enjoy November-May which is the dry season when there is almost uninterrupted sunshine with very little rainfall. The cloudless sunny weather typically warms the dry air up to near 70 by the afternoon.

Several major highways pass through Ocala, including Interstate 75, Interstate 95, U.S. Highway 27, U.S. Route 301, and U.S. Highway 441. Ocala International Airport provides general aviation services to the community.
